Have you seen my Uncle?

So today I was sent on a mission to retrieve some wake up medicine from the local gas station (energy drinks). I know they are bad for you, but is the egg??? Exactly, modern science has yet to figure that one out, so here we are. I came to a stop sign and this little guy came rolling up to my car. At first I thought man what a day!!! This is the best gift ever right??? After the initial joy had receded, I was a little heart broken to see this blowing around in the wind. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
This is what is wrong with our country. There is no pride left. 40 yrs ago you would have been lynched for leaving something with Stripes and Stars on the ground. I honestly (and this is sad) believe the 80's children were the last generation to see proud blue collar Americans giving it their all in day to day life. I remember a time when skies were bluer, than the Flag itself. I remember chasing the Ice cream truck on foot for 3 blocks until it stopped for kids. I remember how we used to all gather in front of the TV for NASA, not Jersey Shore.

So here it is folks Uncle Sam has left the country in such a fit of rage that he threw this hat on the ground. We did this to ourselves. We let this happen to us. When I say WE it is ME included. We let ENRON a-holes skate off with pensions, with less than a slap on the wrist. We let banks and automobile companies hold their hands out for Billions because they were "going broke". While not one month later Bank of America had a quarterly profit of 8 billion dollars. Yet we stood by and watched the television while these Multi-billion dollar babies were scared of not making their so called "Profits"...What happens when you can't pay your bills??? People come and start slowly taking your stuff away. I did not receive a bailout, nor would I ever apply for one. I was raised with the golden rule of "If you want it bad enough, you will shovel shit to get it!"

This brings us back to the lonesome hat with the the symbolic Stars about to fall off of it. I kept this lonely hat. I brought it home and as I was putting it on my mantle. I noticed a small little tag on the inside. It reads as follows.

"Made in Taiwan"

  1. Man thats deep. This is a sad thing to see. Things were differnt back then and I hate to say that like my parents but it so fn true. Not just our country but mother earth that we are so good at destroying. Things like that hat are mass produced to make a buck and a lot of it ends up blowing around this beautiful planet. Before you know it our own human nature will be destoying our beautiful univers. It makes me see the human race as a virus that is on a seek and destry mission. Our body ends up finding a way to protect and heal itself, just like the univers is doing with solar blasts that shoot radiation at us that will some day fight off and destroy the relentless virus we have become.
On a lighter note... The pic and hat are realy cool dude :)

  2. Thanks man, I am glad to see other people out there who have realized that we in fact are detrimental to the universe. I also see us as a bacteria that just feeds on a host until it expires. This is us and we are killing the universe.
